Production of music video: All effects added

From the music videos we was watching as we was editing we was influenced by some special effects that we saw. Having the credits for Shenaya's name and the title of the track would make the audience know who exactly she is and what she is singing. The girls and I thought that this would be a good thing to have as we didn't want our target audience to be clueless about who she is, especially that she's a debut artist. We decided to use the bad TV effect followed by the white noise to cut the music and have the arguing scene. At first we wanted to have this at the beginning but it didn't feel or look right. We was also influenced by the Kaleidoscope effect and put it at when the beat drops at 2:56 this gave it a fun, vibrant visual feel to the track which makes you want to get up and dance.  

Relfection: Research, Planing and Production

Last time i reflected on my blogging I felt that I didn't need to complicate my ideas and explanation and use more technologies to present my work. Since then i think that i have met these targets and found new ways of communicating with the target audience for the video. I have 79 blogs with 40 of them being individual.

To Improve I feel that i could do extra blogs on research and music videos/advertisement that i find inspiring which i could incorporate into my work.

From the last time I reflected on my progress, I feel as if I have actually improved this time. I have used more types (and new types) of technologies to present my work better as well as added extra blogs that weren't on the checklist. Starting to feel like a proper blogger!

I think that my blog details for the research, planning and construction stages of my music video has been consistent throughout and they have enough detail. I am happy with the amount of blogs and details that I done. In reflection to the targets that I have set myself I have met most of them: I have done external research and created extra blogs and use a wide variety of different technology for my blogs. I have also spoken about problems and solutions that I may have come across during lessons, which has enabled me to be conscious of improvements that I have made over the last few lessons. In total I have 83 blogs and about 2/3 are my own individual blogs.

Today is the penultimate day for editing and it's more about adding final touches (such as any other special effects) and making sure there are no glitches in the timeline. 

Production of Music Video: Rough notes and ideas for: Evaluation Question 4

For Question 4 ('What have you learned from your audience feedback?'), I will revisit the audience feedback from the rough cut, final video and ancillary products stages. From there, I will talk about how I used the feedback for improvement (not possible for all cases) and talk about what I would have like to have done differently.

In terms of technologies, I think producing a vlog would be best as I will be able to explain myself and I could use Camtasia to edit it to make it look more presentable.

Production of music video: Skills development

During the last couple of lessons I have learnt so much about filming as well as editing. In terms of filming I have learn that I should always make sure that the actor/performer could be heard properly. Also you must finsh a scene before you finished filming at an angle so that it’s not difficult to cut when it comes to editing. In terms of editing I have learnt how to added special effects such as BAD TV, colour filters, inserting transparent images, fading in & our, applying slow motion and borders. As well as editing skills and filming skills I have also learnt how to communicate with my group  effectively and making sure that we all participate in filming, editing & group blogs.
