Research: Revisit of the Audience

A while ago, I did a blog post about our target audience and I made a Facebook profile of someone in our target audience.

Charlotte Smith is:
  • a young female (19 years old)
  • a 'city-goer' (lives in London)
  • a frequent reader of NME magazine and the Metro newspaper
  • a sales assistant at Urban Outfitters
  • a regular shopper at the Co-Operative
Since that blog post, I have come across YouGov; a survey website that identifies the type of fans a group/artist/fanbase have according to their demographic, lifestyle, personality, brands, entertainment, online and media.

And it seems like I had most of Charlotte's personal aesthetics correctly. YouGov has a identified a typical Disclosure fan (in a survey of 61) to be:
  • a young female (18-24)
  • a 'city-goer' (most likely to be living in the Midlands, London or Central Scotland)
  • a frequent shopper at Urban Outfitters
  • a frequent reader of NME magazine
Obviously, I did miss out on some points, but I think most of the points seemed accurate.
