I think that our end result (the music video) turned out really well, especially for our first time making and editing a music video.
We followed Vernallis' theories about camera movement, editing to the beat, base tracks and obvious edits. Because the song is not an upbeat, dance song, not a lot of crazy special effects needed to be added. However, we used slow motion, fast motion, reverse and put a saturated filter over all of our clips.
A lot of close-ups were used in the music video and it is one of, if not, the most common camera shots in music videos as it promotes the artist's image. Another common thing of music videos is base tracks - it is where the whole song is shot from the same location all in one go - and a lot of music videos contain multiple base tracks, like ours.
Markers played a key part in our post-production process; the markers helped us sync-up the audio to the video, thus making the two completely in-sync. (geddit?)
