Pitch: Audience 1 - Shenaya

Because the video is going to be quite urban, I think this will attract a core audience of young people (16-30). The genre of the song (electronic) will also contribute to the core audience as electronic/EDM is very popular amongst young people - so our video will have to appeal to them by having props, costumes, locations and possible narratives that they will be able to relate to.

As for the wider audience, it would be people younger than the core audience who look at the artist's costume and want to be like them when they're older (in other words, a role model), and as a result of this, they would be more females than males. In terms of a really wide audience, it would be people who live in an urban setting, where the video is set. Also, not just limiting to city-goers, but people outside the city who aspire to be in the scene.

An example of our core audience would be Charlotte Smith, a 19-year old female from London. Her Facebook page (in the link above) explores all her likes and hobbies. Charlotte would like this genre as it is a popular thing to listen among young people, especially in East London. It is also the type of genre you hear and dance to in clubs and bars, where Charlotte likes to spend most of her time (and money!).

Charlotte is a good example of an aspirer. She has a need for status and their symbols which may mean having the latest gadgets and fashions. As most young people, she has no plans to save her money, so she likes to spend most it.
