Planning: Music Video Influences

When it came to thinking of ideas for our music videos I watched several videos to use some of their ideas and making it my own in a way that its suitable for our intended target audience. There was 3 videos in particular that appealed to me that i wanted to bring into our music video.

Video 1: Labrinth - Let The Sunshine LIVE (Vevo Lift UK)
 
From This video I was influence by the special effects and filters used for some of the shots as Labrinth was singing (1:24). I was also fund of the some of the camera angles used. One example is the low angle shot in the crowd where they're going crazy but you can still see Labrinth on the stage.

Video 2: Wretch 32 Ft Josh Kumra- Don't Go



The Mes En Scene influence me with having Shenaya and some of the performers wearing black and white and everything else in colour. I feel that it would make her stand out in the video instead of her wearing bright clothing in dull settings. I also got this idea to have the promotional package in the same theme from this idea so that everything goes together rather than having random stuff and then the audience would find it hard to recognise her.

Video 3: Rudimental Ft. Ella Eyre- Waiting all night



The idea i got from watching this video is showing the consequences of having argument or how someone copes with it. For our group video we want to use the fact that the song is about having an argument so we want to put that in place in the video. I also got another idea from the skateboarders chilling and having a laugh and having shots of them skating. I think it will work well with what we're trying to do.
